Carry the flame, raise it high
Send its beacon through the sky
Keep it strong and shining through the pain
Let it rise and let it grow
Let it light the world you know
Let it glow
We have passed the one year mark of the pandemic, keeping ourselves safe from one another, missing loved ones and our deep community connections. As it is determined how we come together again, I can see on the horizon our gatherings, our opportunities for building the world we dream about. My colleague, the Rev. Dan Schatz, wrote this beautiful song, reminding us that after all we’ve been through, we still carry the flame.
Join me Saturday, March 20th at 11am, as my colleague Lane Campbell and I celebrate our new book, This Day in Recovery, published by Skinner House. Here is the Zoom link. It is meant to be a resource for seekers touched by addiction. I think it is a wonderful tool appropriate for anyone who would like to deepen their spiritual practice. Then on Sunday, March 21st, I’ll be at the UUFD Drive Through Dazzle with signed copies available.
This Sunday we will celebrate our generosity and our relationship with this flourishing congregation. We’re fortunate to have as our guests, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Las Cruces. Send me a photo of yourself during the pandemic, and we’ll include it in the service. Join us this Sunday at 10am. Logon here.
Always in the Love,
The Rev. Katie Kandarian-Morris
