DESCRIPTION:History matters!\nKnowing our many histories --- personal\, nat
 ional\, religious --- clarifies identity.\nThe past informs the present an
 d influences the future.\nOne of the most requested Adult Education classe
 s on the recent UUFD Faith Formation survey is a class on UU History. This
  four-week survey will offer an overview of the histories Unitarianism and
  Universalism\, the ancestor traditions of modern UUs\, as well as coverag
 e of Unitarian Universalism since the found of this merged denomination in
  1961. Come learn about the only Unitarian king in history\, mid-nineteent
 h-century Transcendentalists Emerson and Thoreau\, the 20th-century UU Emp
 owerment Movement\, the current 8th Principle Project\, and much more!\n\n
 No prior experience in UU history is required. This class will be held onl
