 n\n\nRETREAT LEADERS\n\n\nRetreat Leader:  Rev. Ruth Rinehart (she/her/he
 rs)\nRev Ruth is an Affiliated Community Minister with her home congregati
 on\, Jefferson Unitarian Church\, in Golden\, CO\, where she lives with he
 r partner\, David Hurlbut\, and their cat\, Pie\, managing their suburban 
 permaculture homestead.  She continues her calling to a ministry of addic
 tions and recovery\, as she works as Recovery Coach at Whitian House\, an 
 outpatient treatment center in Lakewood\, CO\, for incarcerated folx livin
 g in community corrections.  She fervently believes in collective liberat
 ion for all\, and the blessing of Unitarian Universalism in these challeng
 ing times.\n\n\n\n\n\nHost Minister: Rev. Jamie Boyce (she/her)\n\n\nMi
 nister\, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango\n\nRev. Jamie grew u
 p in Lansing\, Michigan surrounded by lakes\, rivers\, streams\, and the w
 orking rhythms of General Motors factories.  As a young adult she lived i
 n Istanbul\, Turkey for seven years where she discovered the heartbeat of 
 her own religious life at the intersection of Islam\, Christianity\, Roman
  and Greek ruins\, and the mysticism of Anatolia. Returning to the United 
 States\, she searched for a community that could meet her emerging spiritu
 al life.  When she attended services at Unity Temple Unitarian Universal
 ist Congregation in Oak Park\, Illinois\, she discovered a community of de
 ep belonging\, joy\, justice\, and the spirit that inspired her own call t
 o ministry.   She is thrilled to serve the Unitarian Universalist Fellow
 ship of Durango and call Durango her home.\n\n\n\n\nSinger/Songwriter Tim 
 Sullivan\n\nTim Sullivan is a longtime member and supporter of the Durango
  Unitarian Universalist Church. Tim has been a featured performer with Vin
 ce Gill\, Willie Nelson\, Alan Jackson\, Tammy Wynette and Glen Campbell. 
 He has entertained at venues across the country and will delight us with h
 is music on Saturday night.\n\n\n\n\n\nPLANNING INFORMATION\nAccommodation
 s\nThe Pavilion with tables and chairs\, potable water\, electricity\, and
  a serving counter will be headquarters for meals and adult programs. Smal
 ler shelters will serve for child care and children’s activities. Portab
 le johns will be available. Participants may camp at Pine Song\, stay in l
 ocal facilities\, or drive from home each day.\n\nGo to Vallecito Lake Ch
 amber for Vallecito Lake accommodations\, including trailer and motor ho
 me hook-ups. For accommodations at the lake\, make reservations as early 
 as possible.\n\nWhat to bring\nIn keeping with our environmentally friendl
 y values\, please bring your own dishes\, cups\, and utensils. A dishwashi
 ng station will be available. We suggest a flashlight\, hat\, jacket\, rai
 n gear\, sunscreen\, and insect repellent. Bring your nametag from church\
 , beverages (other than water\, coffee\, iced tea and lemonade)\, a dish t
 o share for Saturday’s dinner\, and a camp chair or mat to sit on around
  the campfire. Outdoor and board games are welcome. Please do NOT bring in
 ner tubes or rafts. The river is very swift\, cold\, and deep. Bring fly f
 ishing gear if you want to fish in the river (catch and release only). You
  will need a valid Colorado fishing license.\n\nDogs\nWill your dog be hap
 py on a leash at all times? Friendly dogs are welcome. Pick up waste promp
 tly\, please.\n\nPotluck\nHot dishes may be heated on the pavilion counter
  in your crockpot or electri\n\n﻿\n\nDirections to Pine Song\nDirections
  to Pine Song\, home of Lois and Ken Carpenter\, 12758 County Rd. 501\, Ba
 yfield\, Co 81122.  Landline phone is 970-884-9722.  There is not much c
 ell reception on Pine Song property except at the house.\n\nFrom Durango--
 Take County Road 240 (aka Florida Rd.) about 16 mi. until it tees into Cou
 nty Rd. 50l.  Turn left onto CR 501 toward Vallecito.  In 4 miles find t
 he Pine Song gate on your right.  It will be open and a retreat sign on t
 he gate/mailbox.  Follow signs on the property 3/4 mile to the pavilion\,
  river\, parking\, etc.\n\n(If GPS tells you to turn right on Deer Trail L
 ane\, that is too soon.  Keep going a bit farther on CR 501 until you see
  the Pine Song gate.)\n\nFrom Bayfield--From the traffic light on US 160 t
 urn north toward Vallecito onto County Rd. 501.  Drive 12 3/4 miles to 12
 758 County Rd. 501 where you will see the Pine Song gate.  As above\, do 
 not turn down Deer Trail Lane.  Keep going on CR 501 until you reach the 
 Pine Song gate\, turn right and follow signs to the pavilion.\n\n\n&nbsp\;
