Be not afraid of growing slowly.
Be afraid only of standing still.

It almost seemed like old times last Sunday afternoon when we gathered together behind our new UUFD Side With Love banner to march down Main Ave for womens rights. We were reminded that women’s rights are human rights and that no laws should govern our bodies; that our vote is powerful and that we now understand the term women to be more broad, inclusive of queer folx.
To me, it was a reminder of the power of the voice of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango. In just a few months, I’ll no longer be with you, marching with you as your minister. But I have faith that you will keep on moving forward with authority and commitment to the values of this faith.
Tonight (Wednesday) at 6-7pm for the first meeting of the Faith Formation Team. We’ll meet on Zoom for a quick planning for fall activities. We need you to build a strong team.
Saturday at 1pm we’ll celebrate the life of Bruce Harris, spouse of our member Leigh Nielson. Join us at the UUFD sanctuary or online at this link.
For Sunday’s worship, we will honor Indigenous Peoples Day by welcoming Esther Belin and Connie Jacobs, editors of the new book The Diné Reader. Join us in person, or online here.
Always in the Love,
The Rev. Katie Kandarian-Morris
