Celebration Sunday

President Tim Miller announced that a majority of pledge forms are now in hand and signal that we likely have the funds to move ahead with a fellowship hall, lobby, and possibly some additional campus improvements. We have currently received capital pledges in excess of $2.34 million and hope to achieve at least $2.5 million in capital pledges by the end of the Capital Campaign. Additional sources of funding include our Legacy Fund, the Capital Fund, a potential mortgage.

There is also the possibility of deriving income from Bowman Hall. There are also costs associated with any future use of that facility. Therefore we are taking the important next step to decide on the highest and best use of Bowman Hall going forward. To that end we are forming a small task force to determine costs for the renovation, remodel and potential revenue of Bowman Hall to compare with our current site plan costs. This will provide an essential next element in analyzing our overall financial picture for building our desired campus improvements. The design process will be paused for approximately a month while we gather all of this new information. Check this blog for any new updates.

The Building Engagement Task Force continues to meet weekly. A Request for Proposal was sent out Monday to three construction companies with a proposal due date of April 6. We expect to select a contractor to help with further design/development by April 20.
