History as Identity: History as Spiritual Practice

How well do you know UUFD’s history? What about the history of Unitarian Universalism?

History explains our identity, our centeredness. Because connections with the past inform our present and inspires future direction, focus on a congregation’s history is one of the five focus points of interim ministry. Indeed, considered as part of congregational life, history is spiritual practice.

After the service, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., attend the History Timeline Workshop, a routine activity of interim ministry. The Timeline will be posted in the sanctuary. Participate in conversations and exercises to explore your own experiences at UUFD. Share your own memories and read the memories of others on the notes which will be posted on the Timeline.

Snacks will be provided to workshop participants after the service. The Timeline will be installed in the sanctuary for approximately six weeks.
