This talk will cover what Atheism is, some characteristics of Atheism vs other beliefs, and studies of Atheism compared to Christianity and Buddhism. Aline will delve into some of the general characteristics of Atheists, including some famous people who share this philosophy and what they have to say about it. She will also describe how she personally came to defining herself as Atheist.

I was raised in a family of 5, my mother a practicing Catholic and father an atheist.  Until I went to college we were all obligated (father excepted) to attend mass every Sunday and forbidden to eat meat on Friday.  College freed me from those habits and I explored atheism and found that it suited me.
