RETREAT LEADERS

Rev Ruth Rinehart

Retreat Leader:  Rev. Ruth Rinehart (she/her/hers)

Rev Ruth is an Affiliated Community Minister with her home congregation, Jefferson Unitarian Church, in Golden, CO, where she lives with her partner, David Hurlbut, and their cat, Pie, managing their suburban permaculture homestead.  She continues her calling to a ministry of addictions and recovery, as she works as Recovery Coach at Whitian House, an outpatient treatment center in Lakewood, CO, for incarcerated folx living in community corrections.  She fervently believes in collective liberation for all, and the blessing of Unitarian Universalism in these challenging times.

Rev Jamie Boyce

Host Minister: Rev. Jamie Boyce (she/her)

Minister, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango
Rev. Jamie grew up in Lansing, Michigan surrounded by lakes, rivers, streams, and the working rhythms of General Motors factories.  As a young adult she lived in Istanbul, Turkey for seven years where she discovered the heartbeat of her own religious life at the intersection of Islam, Christianity, Roman and Greek ruins, and the mysticism of Anatolia. Returning to the United States, she searched for a community that could meet her emerging spiritual life.  When she attended services at Unity Temple Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Oak Park, Illinois, she discovered a community of deep belonging, joy, justice, and the spirit that inspired her own call to ministry.   She is thrilled to serve the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango and call Durango her home.

Tim Sullivan

Singer/Songwriter Tim Sullivan

Tim Sullivan is a longtime member and supporter of the Durango Unitarian Universalist Church. Tim has been a featured performer with Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Alan Jackson, Tammy Wynette and Glen Campbell. He has entertained at venues across the country and will delight us with his music on Saturday night.
